I know I haven’t been keeping up with the Genshin updates. I’m working again, and Timing for me to do the updates in a timely manner just doesn’t seem to be in the cards for me. If you don’t mind me being a day or two late, then perhaps I’ll try to do that instead of same day as the livestream? But by that time the news has already been broken so I feel like it’s no longer needed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But that’s not why we are here today! We’re here to review my Physical Fischl build! Why this? And Why now? Well… Anyone that’s been around me has probably heard me mention that Fischl is my favorite character, and her Physical build is my favorite build for her. I had a chance to play in someone else’s stream the other day, and there were a number of compliments on my Fischl , AND since she’s coming up on the 2.5 Banner for Yae Miko, I figured this would be a good time to highlight how I use her, and perhaps give you all some insights as well. If this format works, I may even decide to review the other 4-stars on the banner, and perhaps future banners, too!
Physical Fischl Build
I know that my build probably isn’t optimal, there’s always some fine tuning that can be done, but in the case of THIS Fischl, I’m quite happy with where she’s at and can focus my attention on other characters that need more TLC.
So with that being said, here’s a look under the Hood of my Physical Fischl:
[WAIT! Check out the Updated Build Below!]
She’s got a little more Def than I’d like, and those points would be better off in Attack, but it’s gonna be a while before I can find replacements for some of these artifacts.
Her ER is on the low side as well, but Fischl is REALLY good about batterying herself, so I’m not that worried about it. (Is that even a word? It is now!)
Seriously, I want to R5 this, but it’s taken me almost a year and a half to get the one! Definitely worth getting it to 90. This is kinda like the Viridescent Hunt on Steroids! It doesn’t give quite the same amount of Crit Rate, but that Crit Damage Bonus more than makes up for it! It also gives an occasional Physical Damage AOE attack, that can get down to every 2 seconds with refinements.
I had been using Amos’ Bow and even tried Elegy for the End since I was using her as more Support for Yoimiya lately, but now that I have this, All bets are off! This is definitely the Best bow for (My) Fischl!
As for Artifacts, I’ve got her using a 2 pc Pale Flame and 2 pc Bloodstained Chivalry set, giving her 2x 25% Physical damage bonus (50%). I know a 4pc Pale Flame would be better, but as you’ll see below, the Bloodstained pieces are gonna be hard to replace!
I want to say this is my Fischl’s most Copium piece. She got one roll into Crit Rate. I’d love to replace this with something with Attack % as a substat, but again, that’s gonna be hard to get my hands on. This will do for now.
Here’s my off-set piece, her Cup. I’m actually pretty happy with how this rolled, getting the 1:2 ratio of Crit Rate:Damage. The Defense can go somewhere else… (Like Albedo’s gear.) >.>
Out of my 2pc Bloodstained pieces, this is the one that I’d want to replace the most. But I do like the ER on it, and at least it doesn’t have any defense on it!
Again, no defense, but DAYAMN! This is a REALLY good Feather! Any stat on here is a good stat to have! AND it got 21% Crit Damage, plus 15% Attack as well! As I said before, this is gonna be a hard artifact to replace!
Lastly, is her Flower. It may have 13% Defense, but it’s also got over 30 Crit Value!
Overall, I know these aren’t PERFECT, and can use a lot of fine tuning, but that’s also not seeing the Forest for the trees. In other words, look at the overall stats above and see that the Sum of the Artifacts is greater than each individual piece. Getting her gear to this stage is a journey, and I will keep my eyes open for replacement items as I farm for others, but it’s just not a priority right now.
TALENTS:
I currently have her at 10/10/8, and with her Constellations that translates to 10/13/11. It’s REALLY fun to put Childe in her party, as her Normal attacks are literally turned up to 11!
As for her Burst, I’m still not certain I want to crown it. I mean, even leveling it up to 9 (12 with Constellation) is questionable on if it’s really worth it. Yes, that’s 21% increase in damage, but her burst isn’t exactly her premiere ability. If you have nothing else to prioritize on other characters, then go ahead. Otherwise, leaving it at 8 (11) is good enough.
[ANOTHER UPDATE: She’s Triple Crowned! Only character I have that’s Triple Crowned! There are others I’d like to plan on doing that with, but Crowning is EXPENSIVE…!!! ]
CONSTELLATIONS:
And of course, she’s a C6. Maybe at some future time I’ll go through her Constellations and rate them, but just know that ALL THE CONSTELLATIONS are worth it! Fischl is one of the originally released characters and was built with a philosophy that completing her constellations completed the character. And at full C6, Fischl certainly challenges even 5-star characters for damage and carry potential.
Thank you for reading this far and do leave me a comment if you have anything to add to the conversation.
If you want to see my Fischl in action, you can find me streaming most nights at Twitch.tv/net_raven .
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you next time, in Teyvat!
Version 2.2: Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog is coming! At the time of this writing, we’ve just had the Livestream and Concert and we are just over a week away from the new patch! Looks like there are a number of things they are pushing this coming patch, so let’s take a look at everything covered in the Livestream and preview video.
First off, we see everyone’s favorite Anti-Villian, Tortilla (aka Chipe) being featured, and YES, it is confirmed that there is ANOTHER Childe Re-run Banner. It will be the NEXT Banner, but we don’t know who the 4-stars will be on it yet. This banner should run from the 13th of October through the 3rd of November, and will then be followed by a Hu Tao Re-run banner, that will also feature Thoma! So again, we’re going to have two Pyro polearm users on the same banner. Her last run also featured Xiangling, and of course THAT’s who I got… >.>
Who’s that guitar player that’s also featured? That’s the Mythical Xinyan! And it’s about time Mihoyo did SOMETHING with the character! And what are they doing, you might ask? You can get a Free Xinyan from one of the upcoming events! And there will be a good many events coming up! But we’ll get to those in a moment.
REDEMPTION CODES:
First off let’s get the Redeption Codes out of the way! These are Limited time availability, so make sure you redeem them ASAP! If you find this post after Sunday (3 October 2021), you will have probably missed out on cashing these in, so DO EEET NAO!
I won’t rehash the trailer for you, but I will take a closer look at everything shown in the trailer as they are talked about below.
THOMA: Protector from Afar – Background and Abilities
Birthplace: Monstadt Resides: Inazuma Profession: Attendant for the Kamisato Clan
Vision: Pyro Weapon: Polearm Skill: Blazing Blessing – AOE Pyro Damage + Applies Pyro to Thoma, as well as grants ‘Blazing Barrier’ (Shield) that STACKS Damage Absorption! As explained in the video, that means if another Blazing Barrier is applied while it is still active, the remaining absorption will stack into the new cast, and the duration will be refreshed!
Related Talent: Imprecated* Armor [*Spelling?] – Assumed to be acquired during Ascension – When obtaining or refreshing a Blazing Barrier, the current character’s Shield strength will be increased for a “certain duration.” Later in discussion, it is mentioned that the current character’s attacks will help strengthen the shield. (Will need to wait for full descriptions to be released later.)
Burst: Crimson Ooyoori – The Current Character’s Weapon becomes infused with Pyro Damage, causing Flaming Collapses and dealing AOE Pyro Damage, and weapon attacks will summon Blazing Barriers. [Keqing Mains has this listed as can only be triggered every 1 second, but we will find out once we can get our hands on the character after the banner drops.]
Related Talent: Flaming Assault – Damage Dealt by Crimson Ooyoori will be increased by a certain % of Thoma’s Max HP.
Passive Talent: Successful fishing attempts in Inazuma have a 20% chance to DOUBLE your catch!
EVENT BANNER PREVIEW
Polar Star– 5-star Bow for Weapon’s Banner. (It is assumed this is for Childe, since he is seen with it during the event cutscene.) Akouomaru – 4-star Claymore Wavebreaker’s Fin– 4-star Polearm Mouun’s Moon – 4-star Bow
It is assumed these will also be featured on the weapons banner.
NEW HANGOUT EVENTS
NEW ISLAND – TSURUMI ISLAND
New Monsters on Tsurumi Island:
– Rifthound Whelps
– Rifthounds
These monsters come from the Abyss, and come in 4 types, based on their element. They deal elemental damage with their claws, and can turn invisible during battle. (Just what we wanted, right?) What’s more, once a character is successfully attacked, all party members will be affected by the ‘Corrosion’ status, taking Damage over Time every second, and shields will NOT block this damage! (And I JUST GOT Zhongli and Diona built! >.< ) NOW we know why Kokomi was the latest Banner… Time to build my healers, I guess!
[NOTE: Seriously though, I like this better than one-shot mechanics that require shields. Guess I have a reason to build Barbara!]
Event #1 – Labyrinth Warriors
This event will take you into what’s called the Mystic Onmyou Chamber with Childe and Xinyan! (Quite the interesting pairing, don’t you think?) You’ll be accompanied by a Paper Figure called Shiki Taishou who will be providing help in the domain.
It appears you’ll be Deploying a Combat Team, as well as a Support Team, and can be buffed with up to 3 Shiki Taishou Magic Charms.
It also appears that you can upgrade the Charms using drops from the domain called ‘Damaged Replicas.’
Shikifuda are effects you can use that can summon spirts, create barriers, and buff the characters.
There are 5 levels in the Mystic Onmyou Chamber, and each level will have a number of rooms to explore. Players will have to defeat random monsters in each room to obtain random drops, such as Battered Shikifura, Damaged Replicas, and Age Tokens. Battered Shikifura can be used to Obtain Buffs. Damaged Replicas are used to enhance Shiki Taishou, and Age Tokens are used in the event shop.
Event #2 – Shadow of the Ancients
While on an Investigative Commission on the new Tsurumi Island, we find a Ruin Grader with an ‘Unusual’ power supply, that will Regenerate it. Called the Anomalous Model Ruin Grader, this will be the focus of this event.
This event will be broken up into 3 phases:
Investigative Surveys
Data Sampling
Live Testing
Phase 1 – Investigative Surveys
Our Scholarly friend will give us a Prospector Gadget (Ayesha’s Chaos Prospectors) that will allow us to triangulate where certain items are hidden around the map. These Components that we will acquire will be used to repair devices called Purcina Spikes. These Spikes are what are needed to cut the power from the Anomalous Ruin Grader.
For those of you following along at home, now we come up to the Live testing phase of the event. You’ll need to charge all the Purcina Spikes within a certain time frame, AND keep them alive, AND THEN defeat the Ruin Grader. If you defeat it before you charge the spikes, it will Regenerate and you’ll have to fight it all over again! Can I get a “BOOOOO!”
EVENT #3 – Tuned to the World’s Sounds
So one of my favorite events from the Windblume Festival is making a comeback! The Rhythm Game! This time, Kazuha will give you a ‘Floral Zither’ and you will be performing with one of 7 different characters:
Ningguan
Zhongli
Keqing
Xiao
Kokomi
Ayaka
Raiden Shogun
Each character will have their own song to perform, and you’ll get Normal, Hard, and Pro difficulties to play! There’s also a new HOLD feature that you’ll need to master as well!
Event #4 – Dreams of Bloom
This event will have us gathering items for Sakuya, a florist in Inazuma, who will then give us Seeds to plant in our Sereni-Teapot. These seeds will grow into Dreamblooms. There will be three different types of Dreamblooms:
Star Hibiscus
Pearbell
Silkpod
As you can tell, each seed type can still grow into a different color flower, so you’ll probably want to grow a number of them to get the full set!
Extra flowers can be kept and used as furnishings in your Teapot, and you’ll even get to pick one of three new “Flower Stands” to use, with different levels to place your favorite flowers in.
ANY LEFT OVER SEEDS WILL DISAPPEAR AT THE END OF THE EVENT! (This does not apply to the flowers! Only the Seeds!)
Event #5 – LEYLINE OVERFLOW
Use 20 Resin to get DOUBLE the Rewards at Blossoms of Wisdom or Blossoms of Wealth, up to 3 times a day during the event.
And just because it comes up EVERYTIME this event happens: NO! YOU CAN’T USE CONDENSED RESIN TO GET 4x REWARDS!
Teapot Upgrades
NEW REAL STYLE INCOMING! – Silken Courtyard will become available! (SPOILER – It Looks AWESOME!) NOTE: To acquire this new realm, you’ll need to upgrade your Narukami Sakura Tree to level 40…!
You’ll be able to find “Remarkable Chests” on the new Tsurumi Island. These Chests will have new Recipes for Furnishings and Set Blueprints in them!
There will be more recipes to purchase from Tubby, in your Teapot
You can learn new Recipes at the Crafting bench, The Forge, and of course, the Create Furnishings Menu.
New Furnishing: “Floating Platforms”
OTHER
Artifact Storage will be increased from 1000, to 1500!
Genshin x Razer Collaboration Sale
AND…. You get Bonus In Game Rewards for each item you buy…! This is going to take Whaling to Whole New Heights!
That’s All, Folks!
And THAT is that! After they were done with the Special Program, they went straight into the Anniversary Concert, which I totally enjoyed! They played a LOT of the original Music from Monstadt and Liyue, and Synthed some of them up Really well! And even opened it up with a sweet Acapella version of the Menu screen music! I don’t believe they played anything from Inazuma, however. Not sure if they plan on another one featuring Inazuma music or not. But in any case, I highly recommend you take a listen, even if you just play it in the background of whatever you’re doing!
That’s it from me. I hope someone out there finds this kind of recap useful. I’ll be trying to cover things like this from here on out. Thanks for dropping by, and I’ll see you next time, in Teyvat!
